Enhanced Capabilities
It's not what our lights can do. It's what you can do with our lights. First-Light USA products are designed first for military, law enforcement and other professionals. This specialized approach allows us to design application-specific solutions that precisely fit the demands of your job.
Fast Weapon Transitions
First-Light USA tactical lights enable you to easily and instantly switch between weapons. Because the light is based on your hand, not on your weapon, you’ll be able to quickly choose the weapon that’s most appropriate for the situation, while always maintaining control of your light, no more stowing your tubelight in your mouth or armpit, because you have full use of your hands.
Magazine changes and malfunction clearing have one thing in common: they can be done more quickly, easily and safely with a light on your hand, instead of in your hand.
Always Staged for Ready
First-Light USA takes your light out of your holster and stages it where it’s most useful – on your hand. It means your light will always be available when you need it, so you’ll never have to look back and wish you’d had your light ready.
Beyond the Call of Duty
For Combat Medics
In response to the growing, and to this point, unmet, need from tactical medical professionals, First-Light has developed the Tomahawk NV TC3 Kit. The NV TC3 Kit combines all the features and functions that have made the Tomahawk Tactical Lights so popular with Soldiers, including hands-free use and 180 degrees of adjustability, while the light is mounted to the chest, and adds a unique set of features specifically engineered to make a Medic’s job easier. Also available is the Tomahawk MC TC3 Kit which offers all the powerful features of the NV TC3 Kit, but without the infra-red capability.
INCREASED SURVIVABILITY– by moving a potentially targeted light source from the head to the most protected part of the Soldier’s body – the chest.
REDUCE OUTPUT SIGNATURE – by utilizing a non- glaring wavelength (red/green mix); orienting the LEDs down to “shield” the LEDs from direct view, and decreasing light movement (when compared to head or helmet mounted lights) – all key factors in signature reduction.
BLOOD “HIGHLIGHTING” - A proprietary mix of red and green LEDs operated at the appropriate wave-length and brightness setting will “highlight” the color red, specifically blood, and subdue other colors (and fluids) when compared to using blue, red, green, or white light alone. This allows for quicker casualty assessment and treatment, especially in a multi-fluid situation.
TOMAHAWK TASK LIGHT (TTL) - Until now, medics have needed to carry multiple lights (varying in size from small pen lights to large and fragile Ultra Violet light sources) in order to effectively assess and treat ocular injuries, as well as detect certain fungal and bacterial infections. The Tomahawk Task Light (TTL) incorporates a single 5mm LED into the battery cap and is available in either blue or UV (375nm wavelength). Blue light is ideal for use with fluorescein strips or drops, and UV can be used to fluoresce certain fungal and bacterial infections.
Light of Choice for the Corps
THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS. When the II Marine Expeditionary Force needed a light for their deployment kits, they chose Tomahawk NV with TRS. The ruggedness and versatility of this system convinced them that it was just the tool they needed for the job ahead.
