Since flashlights were invented 120 years ago, they really haven’t changed much. Today's common flashlight is still built around the BATTERIES, consisting of a tube with a light bulb at one end, batteries inside and a switch that turns it on and off.
In 2004, First-Light USA decided to challenge that tradition.
Simply put, we design flashlights that aren’t built around the batteries but rather, around YOU. The result is a light source that lets you act – and react – as if you weren’t carrying a light at all.
To be a First-Light, a light must meet three criteria:
HANDS-FREE
So you don't have to hold your flashlight to get the light you need.
HANDS-DIRECTED
So you can easily direct light where you want it.
HANDS-ENABLING
So you can use your hands as you normally would in broad daylight.
