First-Light USA is proud to be a part of the United States Army 'Team Soldier Certified' and ‘Family of Flashlights’ programs.

About Team Soldier Certified
The Army Team Soldier Certification program was developed to officially sanction commercial gear to be used by soldiers in combat. Under the program, vendors can submit their products for performance evaluation and if the products pass the Army's rigours testing standards they are deemed 'Team Soldier Certified' and may bear the officlal 'Team Soldier Certified' logo endorsing them for use in combat.

About Family of Flashlights
The Family of Flashlights (FoF) consists of Hands-Free Helmet-Mounted Light (HFHL) that is capable of being attached to the Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) or the Interceptor Body Armour (IBA); a handheld Tactical Light (HHTL), a Weapon Mountable Light/Illuminator (WML) and a Crew Served Weapons Light (CSWL). The focus of the FoF is to provide an increased illumination capability that is highly effective and more reliable than present lights or illuminators. The FoF fills a current capability gap by providing lighter, more versatile and more durable, multifunctional lights that feature increased range and better power management. The FoF provides soldiers with a complete illumination capability package that accommodates and supports a wide variety of roles. Only products found to be 'Team Soldier Certified' are part of the FoF. (Source: Program Executive Office Soldier Portfolio FY2010)
